Steve has been writing, recording and producing his songs with many of the most talented players on the planet featured on his recordings.  Bassist extraordinaire, Bob Lizik (Brian Wilson, David Bromberg, Mavis Staples), the great Mikey Junior on lead vocals & harmonica, Grammy nominated blues pianist Victor Wainwright, bassist Stephen Dees (Hall & Oates, Novo Combo, Todd Rundgren, The Wild Roots), Nashville artist  Miranda Louise (Vince Gill, Warren Haynes) on lead vocals on a soon to be released upcoming single, Pardon My Love,  keyboardist Glenn McClelland (Ween, Blood, Sweat & Tears), Edison Wilson (Chris Harford, Ween) bass and backing vocals, & his son Ryan Shive on rhythm / lead guitar, Matt "Guitar" Daniels on lead guitar, and backing singers Tanqeray Haywood, Brooke Shive (his daughter) Olive Joseph (Billy Paul) and his wife Shelle Shive! Steve also plays a little guitar and keyboard on the recordings as well as writing all the songs.
